Everything we do at Trends is based upon respect for our users to keep their personal information safe and secure.

Apps are increasingly vulnerable to cyber attack. In 2018 alone, according to Moody's, there were 148 hacks and 30 advisories from Department of Homeland Security regarding personal health information. App developers are getting pressured to better defend against cyber incursions and disruptions.

One reason that apps are plagued by security concerns is that most are data engines pretending to be personal records. Their business model is based on harvesting data from users and then getting paid by third parties to use the data.

By contrast, Trends app was engineered with security by design. There is no profile targeting. We do not use cookies to gather your data or track your activities. We do not connect to remote servers or data banks - all information in this application is yours alone - to use and share as you decide.

Trends app is always protected by Apple security and can be backed up on your iCloud Drive. Access to your device is guarded by password, facial recognition, or Touch ID, and may be enhanced by enabling a 4-digit passcode on Trends app.

Whenever you share information, Trends uses industry leading technologies like end-to-end encryption - which means that your trusted devices use a "private key" to which only known devices can gain access. Nobody else - including Trends or Apple - can see your data. If someone tries to hack your account, they are asked to enter a verification code sent to your trusted device. This is called "Two Factor Authentication" and can be turned on at Settings > Security > Apple ID >Two Factor Authenication.

You are responsible for all content entered and may not include content that contains viruses or other code designed to disrupt, damage, or limit the application - and you are obligated to abide by all applicable laws and regulations in connection with your use of this application.

We adhere to the strict guidelines of Apple's End User License Agreement - and you are subject to the rules set forth in the App Store terms of service. Apple Inc. has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any specific maintenance or services with respect to this application. In the event of our failure to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple Inc. to receive a refund of the purchase price, if any - and thereupon Apple Inc. has no other obligation whatsoever.

We do not endorse, guarantee, warrant or recommend any product or service contained in advertising that may appear on this application - and under no circumstances shall Trends be liable for any damages - incidental or consequential. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Trends from any claim, demand, loss or expense arising out of your violation of these terms and conditions.

All code is the property of Healthbook LLC - and it is protected under applicable copyright and patent laws. Any unauthorized use or distribution of this application is strictly prohibited without expressed written approval. In the event of a third party claim of infringement of intellectual property, Apple Inc. has no responsibility for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of such claim.

Your device provides for the use of password, touch ID, or facial recognition protection. In addition, an option to further secure the application with a 4 digit passcode is provided. However, we cannot guarantee that such security measures cannot be breached and that your information may be viewed by others. The sharing of any information is the sole responsibility of you.

You hereby acknowledge that you have read Apple's End User License Agreement and you accept its terms and conditions - and that as a third party beneficiary thereof, Apple Inc. has the right to enforce the Agreement. You further agree that any cause of action related to this application shall be filed within one year after such claim arose and shall be governed by the jurisdiction of courts in the State of New Jersey. If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid in any jurisdiction, then that provision shall be deemed ineffective but shall have no effect on the enforceability of remaining provisions. Any failure to enforce any provision of these terms shall not be considered a waiver of such rights.

We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time - and such modifications shall be effective immediately upon posting. You shall review these terms and conditions periodically to ensure that you are aware of any modifications. Continued use of the application shall be considered acceptance of any modification.
